Location/Route...
Niederau lies in the heart of the Kitzbuehler Alps in the Wildschönau valley, (translated it means wild and beautiful). It is a high valley located up above the Inn valley, 3 miles from the town of Wörgl , above the Brixental valley and 3 miles from the famous Skiwelt in Hopfgarten. Romantic scenery, great skiing and snowboarding facilities make this charming Tyrolean village a genuine winter’s fairy tale.
In spring, summer and autumn experience the magic of the mountains with extensive hiking, mountain biking, paragliding (the largest school in the Tyrol), canoeing, swimming, horse riding, tennis and of course the village festivals! A little further afield you can visit the towns of Innsbruck (45 mins), Kitzbühel (30 mins) or Salzburg (80 mins) and day trips to Europe's largest waterfalls at Krimml and Austria’s highest mountain and glacier, the Grossglockner. Whether you are with your family or a group of friends, the Wildschönau has something for everyone.
